The men’s NXT Tag Team Championships are now vacant.

WWE announced on Friday afternoon that MSK have relinquished the titles and that brand new champions will be crowned on Tuesday’s episode of NXT 2.0. MSK regained the NXT Tag Team Championships from Imperium at Stand and Deliver during WrestleMania weekend. This news comes on the heels of WWE releasing Nash Carter, half of MSK, earlier this week.

“The current NXT Tag Team Champions have relinquished the titles.

New champions will be crowned this Tuesday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Stay tuned to WWE.com and WWE social accounts for updates.”

WWE has not revealed who will be wrestling for the vacant titles on Tuesday or how those teams will be defined. MSK joined the WWE and debuted in 2021 after signing contracts in December of 2020. They won the 2021 men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and had an ongoing story throughout the early part of NXT 2.0, in which they were in search of their Shaman. The Shaman turned out to be Riddle. MSK were formerly known as The Rascalz in Impact Wrestling.

Nash Carter was released from WWE after allegations that he was physically and emotionally abusing his wife. WWE has not commented publicly on those allegations or specifically addressed the release.
