SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

This week’s episode of NXT 2.0 is stacked with championship matches. The NXT North American Championship, Women’s Championship, and the men’s Tag Team Championships will all be up for grabs.

The NXT Tag Team Championships were vacated last week after Nash Carter, half of MSK, was released from his WWE contract due to allegations of abuse. The vacated titles will be on the line in a five team Gauntlet Match to crown new champions. The full card for this week’s show is:

  • Cameron Grimes vs. Solo Sikoa – North American Championship
  • The Creed Brothers vs. Legado Del Fantasma vs. Pretty Deadly vs. Briggs & Jensen vs. Grayson Waller & Sanga – Tag Team Championship Gauntlet Match
  • Mandy Rose vs. Dakota Kai – Women’s Championship
  • Von Wagner vs. Kushida

Last week on NXT 2.0, Bron Breakker’s father, Rick Steiner, was abducted by Joe Gacy and Harland. Nothing specific is being promoted for this week’s show in an effort to further that story. Bron Breakker is the NXT Champion and won the title for a second time on last week’s post-WrestleMania edition of Monday Night Raw.

Rick Steiner was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of The Steiner Brothers tag team with his brother Scott by Breakker over WrestleMania weekend. Last week was Rick’s first storyline appearance on television with Breakker since his debut on the first episode of NXT 2.0 in September of last year.
