Jay White appeared on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite during Tony Khan’s major announcement.

Khan stood on the stage with New Japan Pro Wrestling President, Takami Ohbari, to reveal detail on the co-branded Forbidden Door show in Chicago on June 26. Instead, Adam Cole appeared on the big screen in the arena and delivered the news himself. Cole then introduced White. White spoke about selling out Madison Square Garden on the ROH/NJPW show and said Forbidden Door would be all about the Undisputed Elite. Jay White appeared earlier on Dynamite earlier this year and defeated Trent Beretta on AEW Rampage.

White is a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and Never Openweight Champion. White is slated to compete this weekend at the Impact Rebellion PPV event.

Forbidden Door will be a supershow featuring both AEW and New Japan talents. AEW and New Japan talent will collide on this week’s episode of Rampage. Adam Cole will face Tomohiro Ishii in a Owen Hart Foundation tournament qualifying match. Forbidden Door will take place at the United Center in Chicago — the same building which hosted C.M. Punk’s return to the wrestling business.

Matches for Forbidden Door haven’t been announced. Tickets will go on-sale to the general public on May 6.
