[HOUR ONE]

-They opened with a wide shot of the venue that resembled Daily’s Place with a stage near the ring and seats pointed at it theater-style. They showed close-ups of fans in the crowd as Excalibur introduced and previewed the show, pointing out it is the 6th Anniversary of the show.

-A clip aired of The Young Bucks outside the venue. Matt Jackson said Brandon Cutler was back after fleecing them for twice his prior salary. Matt said they have a grand idea for them that is only fitting for the Founding Fathers. When Matt left, Nick said he should follow him so they can double his duffel bag of cash. They showed him gambling. Then they cut to later where a deflated looking Nick was approached by Matt who asked where he had been. Matt said the ring entrance is going to be the most pyro they’ve ever had with other effects. He asked how he felt about live animals. Matt picked up the duffel bag, which was empty now. Matt realized they didn’t have the budget now for the entrance. “You lost everything?!” Matt asked.

(1) THE YOUNG BUCKS (Matt & Nick Jackson) & JOSH ALEXANDER vs. KENNY OMEGA & BRODIDO (Brody King & Bandido)

They cut to the ring live where the Bucks were in the ring without any intro. The graphic called them “The Broke Bucks.” Justin Roberts introduced them. Then he introduced Josh Alexander who got a ring entrance. Omega and Brodido then made their entrances. The bell rang 7 minutes into the hour. Don Callis joined in on commentary. Fans chanted, “F— Don Callis!” at the start.

The Bucks outmaneuvered Bandido and then taunted him with the Macerena dance. Omega and Bandido then cleared the ring and did the Macarena. Some fans chanted “Macarena!” A minute later, Bandido bodyslammed Brody onto Alexander.

When Omega went for a dive through the ropes onto Alexander, the Bucks kicked him from the ring apron. Nick landed a running flip dive onto Bandido and Brody at ringside. They cut to a double-box break at 6:00. [c/db]

Back from the break, Alexander powerslammed Bandido onto the ring apron when he leaped to the floor. The Bucks rallied until Omega dropped Matt onto Nick. Omega then landed a running flip dive onto all three heels at ringside. When Omega moved toward Callis at ringside, Callis fled through the crowd. The faces landed a triple Pedigree sequence on all three heels leading to a near fall by Bandido on Alexander at 12:00. Fans chanted, “Ref, you suck!”

Alexander avoided a V-Trigger attempt by Omega. The Bucks and Alexander triple-teamed Omega leading to a near fall. Alexander applied a standing anklelock. Omega made a comeback with a series of Snap Dragon suplexes and then a reverse huracanrana followed by a sitout powerbomb and V-Trigger. Fans chanted, “Kenny! Kenny!” Omega landed a One-Winged Angel on Alexander for the win as Bandido stood guard to prevent interference.

WINNERS: Omega & Brodido in 15:00.

(Keller’s Analysis: The constant flurry of athletic spots you’d expect with these six in a 15 minute span.)

-Afterward, Omega and the Bucks eyed each other as the announcers talked about their past as founding fathers. Excalibur asked if it was time to “bury the hatchet.” Alexander attacked Omega from the side. Jurassic Express then walked out. Fans sang their song. Perry entered and went after the Bucks and DDT’d both of them at once. Luchasaurus then delivered a double-chokeslam. Omega then gave Alexander a Snap Dragon. Omega then got in Perry’s face and they exchanged heated words. Excalibur said Omega feels Perry is responsible for him getting stretchered. Perry dove onto the Bucks at ringside and then brawled to the back.

Omega leaned on the top rope with a mic in hand. Callis said nobody wanted to hear what he had to say. Omega talked about six years of Dynamite. He said he’s seen the highs and lows. He said what they take pride in is the journey itself. He said they have made fans and friends along the way. He said they lost a couple, too. He said he’s grown on the journey. He then closed the segment with his “adieu” “and “bang” bit. The lights went out and then when they came back on, Andrade was in the ring. He attacked Omega. Callis entered the ring and offered a handshake. Andrade smiled and hugged him.

(Keller’s Analysis: We’ll see if Andrade can get fans invested in him in a way that justifies Omega being his target on his return. They’ll have a good match for sure. Callis aligning with Andrade gives Andrade a mouthpiece.)

-They went to the announcers at ringside to react. Excalibur then threw to a highlight package of Dynamite happenings over the years.

(Keller’s Analysis: It almost felt like they just told an AI-based video program to randomly select highlights. They almost exclusively focused on wrestlers still on the roster with brief glimpses of C.M. Punk and Cody Rhodes. I bet Chris Jericho would have been featured more if he had re-signed.) [c]

-A promo aired with Mark Briscoe in a back hall with bad acoustics. He said MJF has been his focus for a long time. He said he’s aligned now with Orange Cassidy while he has sent MJF away for a while. He said MJF is sitting on the couch at home picking the rest of the tacks out of his ass. “Happy anniversary,” he ended with.

(2) KYLE FLETCHER (w/Don Callis) vs. ORANGE CASSIDY – TNT Title match

Excalibur said Fletcher, other than the loss to Hangman, has been on an incredible run. The bell rang 42 minutes into the hour. Cassidy rolled to the floor after a stalemate in the ring. Fans chanted, “Freshly squeezed!” Fletcher went after him at ringside, so Cassidy returned to the ring. When Cassidy raised his arms to put his hands in his pocket, Fletcher charged at him and kicked him. Cassidy outmaneuvered Fletcher and then dove through the ropes at ringside. When he climbed the ropes, Fletcher kicked him. They cut to a double-box break at 3:00. [c/db]

Fletcher dominated during the break. They showed some viewer comments from  Twitter/X on the screen. Fletcher shoved Cassidy’s hands into his pockets and stomped on him. Cassidy pretended his hands were stuck, but managed to armdrag Fletcher anyway. Cassidy kipped up, hands still in pockets. He slo-mo kicked Fletcher and then sped up. Fletcher caught his PK kick attempt, but Cassidy fought back and landed a slingshot DDT at 9:00.

Cassidy leaped off the top rope, but Fletcher caught him and turned it into a Michinoku Driver. Taz observed an awkward landing by Cassidy, who grabbed the back of his neck afterward in pain. Taz said it was a really bad landing. The match continued. Cassidy countered Fletcher into a Stun Dog Millionaire. Fletcher countered with a half-and-half suplex. They exchanged kicks. Cassidy landed two leaping DDTs as a counter to Fletcher for a near fall. Both were down and slow to get up.

Fletcher landed a leaping spinning tombstone for a near fall at 12:00. Cassidy countered Fletcher with a small package seconds later. He caught a charging Fletcher with a kick. Fletcher leaped and roundkicked Cassidy in the head on the top turnbuckle. Fans chanted, “This is awesome!” Fletcher went for a superplex. Cassidy blocked it and headbutted Fletcher. Callis stood on the ring apron as Fletcher distracted the ref. Hologram walked to the ring and cut off Callis. Callis fled. Hologram then knocked Cassidy off the top rope. Fletcher then landed a brainbuster suplex onto the top turnbuckle and scored a three count. Excalibur asked why Hologram would help Fletcher.

WINNER: Fletcher in 15:00 to retain the TNT Title.

-Fletcher and Hologram stomped away at Cassidy. Danielson said something felt wrong about it. Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Briscoe charged out for the save. The heels retreated. The rest of the Don Callis Family walked out and joined them on stage, including Kazuchika Okada. Excalibur then said it wasn’t Hologram at all, but the “clone” that they’ve been hearing about. The lights flickered as Fletcher held up his TNT Title belt.

-They went to the announcers at ringside. Excalibur reacted to the Hologram clone and then threw to a replay of the return of Andrade.

[HOUR TWO]

-Renee Paquette interviewed Mercedes Moné backstage. Renee said in 16 days, she’ll become the longest reigning TBS Champion of all time. Mercedes said they should be celebrating her tonight. She said next week on Title Tuesday in Jacksonville, she’ll put her TBS Title on the line. She said she wants to wrestle someone local next week from Florida since she’s never wrestled at Daily’s Place before. Renee asked for her thoughts on the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships. Mercedes said she knows about tag team wrestling and asked who will be her partner. Harley Cameron walked in with her Mercedes puppet. She told Mercedes they have excellent chemistry. Mercedes said every time they team, Harley loses. “So that’s a hard no,” she said. The Mercedes doll said, “I think she’s just playing hard to get.”

(Keller’s Analysis: Between Nick Jackson’s gambling skit, the Macarena, and Harley with her puppet, AEW is leaning into comedic stuff tonight.)

-Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Claudio Castagnoli made their entrance through the crowd. [c]

(3) SAMOA JOE & “HANGMAN” ADAM PAGE & POWERHOUSE HOBBS vs. JON MOXLEY & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI & DANIEL GARCIA

The bell rang 10 minutes into the hour. They took turns pairing off for brief fights. Hobbs did his usual routine when he tagged in, hit a clothesline, acted like it was a huge accomplishment, snarled with is upper lip, n0-sold Garcia, and then clotheslined Garcia. Mox dropkicked Hobbs and sent him to ringside. When he dove at him, Hobbs caught him and slammed him into the ring apron several times. They cut to a double-box break at 5:00 [c/db]

They went to a wide shot of the crowd after the break. They showed that during the break, Claudio powerbombed Hobbs out of the corner. Danielson on commentary said regarding Hobbs, “That’s a big man to toss across the ring like that.” (That’s pretty much par for the course for Bryan on commentary.) Hobbs turned momentum with a powerslam on Claudio and then hot-tagged in Hangman. Garcia bumped for Hangman’s rapid-fire attack.

After a stretch of chaos, Hangman hit Mox with a Buckshot, but Claudio hit Hangman with a lift-and-drop European uppercut for a two count at 14:00. Hangman came back with Buckshot on Claudio a minute later for the win.

WINNERS: Hangman & Hobbs & Joe in 15:00.

-Afterward, Joe eyed Hangman as he celebrated with his World Title. He then spun him around and took exception to how the closing minutes of the match went. He said he stole his tag. Danielson said he didn’t like how he tossed him his title belt afterward, either. Joe said Hangman has never beaten him. As security and agents tried to break them up, Joe threw a jab at Hangman. Hangman swung back. They were pulled apart. Hobbs pulled Joe to the ramp as Joe continued to rage. Joe finally turned and stormed off. Taz said he agreed with Joe’s perspective. Some fans chanted, “Joe’s gonna kill you!”

-A vignette aired on Willow Nightingale & Jet Speed feuding with Stokley Hathaway & FTR. Soundbites aired with them hyping a match on Collision with one member of FTR against Knight. Stokely also said he’d have a surprise “in due time” for Willow. [c]

-Renee interviewed Hangman backstage. Hangman said it appears Joe was upset over small stuff, but it’s really about his AEW World Title belt. He said Joe once held it. He said if he wants a title match, he’ll give it to him at WrestleDream. He said if Joe throws another fit like that aimed at him, “I will ruin your life!”

(Keller’s Analysis: Hangman didn’t vow to kill him! The streak is over. This is a fun match to book on short notice out of nowhere. Joe is a former champ and any time he revs up and is put in a big spot, he delivers. Hangman was good in his intensity in all of this.)

(4) TAY MELO vs. “TIMELESS” TONI STORM

When Storm made her entrance, the announcers said she looked confused without her title belt. As Melo came out, a soundbite aired with Melo talking about facing Storm for the first time. The bell rang 35 minutes into the hour. They cut to a double-box break at 2:00. [c/db]

Melo dominated after the break. Storm made a comeback with a hip attack and Storm Zero for a swift win.

WINNER: Storm in 8:00.

-Afterward, the screen went black and white as Storm said she feels lost without her AEW World Title. She said after she lost the title, she heard a silence so deep, it completely gobbled her up. She asked Kris Statlander for a rematch.

-A video package aired on Eddie Kingston vs. Dralistico on Collision on Saturday (with an hour earlier start time) with soundbites by Dralistico’s LFI partner Sammy Guevara and also Kingston.

-Renee Paquette interviewed Samoa Joe backstage. He accepted the challenge. He said he had been too focused on the Death Riders and lost track of who he is. He said Hangman has never defeated him. He said he has been better than Hangman every day of their lives. He said Hangman is used to “Cowboy Shit,” but he said when stands opposite of him, he’ll be standing in “deep shit.”

-Excalibur said the match has been made official.

(5) GOA (Tonga Loa & Bishop Kaun) vs. THE SWIRL (Lee Johnson & Blake Christian)

Ricochet joined in on commentary. They cut to a very early double-box break with GOA in control. [c/db]

Christian leaped onto Tonga at ringside. Tonga came back with a shoulder tackle. Back in the ring, GOA focused on Johnson with a double-team slam for the three count.

WINNERS: GOA in 6:00.

-After the match, MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin walked out. MVP asked if there were any 954, 786, or 305 area codes in the building. He asked the fans to tell GOA and Ricochet what his name is. Fans chanted “MVP!” He said he embarrassed himself at All Out and owes everyone an apology for that. He said he allowed the “bald-headed, booty-shaking” Ricochet and “his back-up dancers” to beat him. He said they beat him, though, but not Shelton and Lashley. He said he has come to terms with having lost a step. He said he doesn’t want to wrestle. He said he wants a no DQ street fight, though, next week on Dynamite (airing on Tuesday, not Wednesday). Ricochet accepted the challenge.

(Keller’s Analysis: I wasn’t sure if AEW would wave the white flag next week since they’re airing up against NXT a night earlier than usual.)

-Renee interviewed Statlander who said she is a supreme being and a cosmic killer who has never had a one-on-one match against Storm. She accepted her challenge. Harley walked in and told her, “Excellent, rip off their heads, toss them into space.” She sang “Statlander!” and then left.

-They went to the announcers at ringside. Excalibur hyped the mixed tag tornado match up next.

-Alicia Atoot interviewed Callis, Takeshita, and Okada backstage. Callis touted adding “the great Andrade.” Callis said he didn’t like that Brodido escaped, so he challenged them to face Okada & Takeshita next week. Takeshita interrupted and asked if he seriously wanted him to team with Okada. Okada said, “Yes, you and me.” Callis verified that’s what he wanted and said he couldn’t wait to see Brodido in Jacksonville. [c]

(6) DARBY ALLIN & KRIS STATLANDER vs. WHEELER YUTA & MARINA SHAFIR – Tornado Tag match

As Yuta and Shafir walked out through the crowd, Darby and Statlander jump-started the action. The bell rang 14 minutes into the hour. They made their way to ringside. Darby put Wheeler on a chair at ringside and then ran and flipped over the top rope toward him. Yuta moved and Darby landed on the chair hard, crushing it. The ref checked on him. Stat and Shafir battled against the announce desk next. Yuta let out a celebratory yell as they cut to a double-box break at 4:00. [c/db]

Statlander suplexed Shafir off the ringside barricade through the time keeper’s table. Darby stacked up chairs in the ring and then superplexed Yuta off the top rope onto them. Darby himself crashed hard onto the tables too. Darby covered Yuta and scored a two count.

Yuta made a comeback and poured thumb tacks onto the canvas. When Statlander went after him, he gave her a suplex. Fans chanted “F— you, Yuta!” He then tried to suplex her onto the tacks, but she reversed it and suplexed Yuta onto the pile of chairs. When Shafir entered, Statlander atomic dropped her bare feet onto the tacks. She had tacks stuck in her feet. Yuta knocked Statlander to the floor. Darby went after Yuta. Shafir got blinded by powder and mistakenly put Yuta into a sleeper. Statlander then landed a 450 on Yuta and Shafir. Darby then landed a Coffin Drop off the top rope onto Yuta for the win.

WINNERS: Darby & Shafir in 13:00.

(Keller’s Analysis: Fun wild match that didn’t overstay it’s welcome. It’s a bummer they didn’t do anything during the prior two-plus hours to build anticipation for it.)

-Storm walked out and eyed Statlander. Darby whipped Yuta in the ring. Pac attacked Darby and put a dog collar with a chain around his neck. He pulled back on Darby. Mox and Claudio entered the ring. Mox told Darby at WrestleDream, he has zero chance to do what he wants to do to win. Mox said he doesn’t know how he’ll do it yet, but he’ll make Darby say, for the first time in his life, “I quit!” Pac then gave Darby a running clothesline as Mox’s music played. Excalibur signed off with a final plug for Collision and next week’s Dynamite.
