[HOUR ONE]

-They opened with a scenes of pyro blasting on the stage and fans cheering as Excalibur introduced the show.

-Tony Schiavone stood mid-ring and introduced Tommaso Ciampa. As he made his entrance, they showed a clip of Ciampa threatening to break his opponent’s back unless Schiavone declared himself better than Chris Jericho. Schiavone did, but Excalibur said it wouldn’t hold up in court because it was made under duress. Ciampa entered the ring and threatened Schiavone to tell the fans that he’s better than Jericho again. He Schiavone at first refused, Ciampa backed him into the corner and threatened to break his back. As Schiavone gave in, Jericho’s music played and he made his way out.

When Jericho entered the ring, Ciampa threw a fit and yelled “Cut the music!” When the music stopped, fans finished the lyrics. Ciampa asked if everyone was happy now. He said it was about damn time Jericho showed up in the flesh. He asked what he had to say for himself. He said he wanted to find out who he had to talk about around there to fight someone who actually has hair. Fans started chanting, “Bald! Bald!” Jericho apologized and said, “That was uncalled for (and true).”

Jericho said they got off on the wrong foot and then introduced himself. Ciampa said they know who they are. He said he is the Psycho Killer. Jericho called him “Tommy.” Ciampa looked down and insisted he not call him that. Fans chanted “Tommy!” He said his name is Tommaso. Jericho said, “That’s not very marketable (and pretentious).”

Ciampa said his mother doesn’t even call him Tommy and he won’t let Jericho call him that. Jericho said, “You mean Tommy’s mommy?” Fans chanted, “Tommy’s mommy!” Jericho asked why seems to hate him so much. He asked if he doesn’t trust him or thinks he’s a snake, but he snuck in “subliminal” insults along the way like “Goblin face.”

Ciampa asked if it’s all a joke to him. Jericho said it’s not a joke what he did to him two weeks ago. He said he came to AEW and got a lot of fanfare, but then when he returned, he realized he wasn’t the star he thought he was. He said that has made him a very angry man. He suggested he “pull that stick out of his ass before he shoves it up there further.” Ciampa took a swing. Jericho swung back. Security ran into the ring and separated them. Jericho broke free and leaped at Ciampa. Taz said Jericho was in Ciampa’s head, but Ciampa is no one to play games with. Ciampa broke free and leaped onto Jericho on the ramp. They were separated again.

-They went to Excalibur, Schiavone, and Taz at ringside. They previewed the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament matches scheduled. Excalibur noted Sareee wasn’t cleared, so Maya World was put in her place.

-They cut backstage to the arrival of Don Callis and Kevin Knight when Renee Paquette approached them. Callis said, “Kayfabe.” (The term was historically used when an outsider entered a room to warn everyone to stop talking openly.) Callis told Renee he’d ask the questions. Andrade El Idolo walked in and said he wanted the AEW World Title. He said Knight is new to the family, but he should get to the back of the line. “Are you with him or with me?” he asked. Knight told Andrade that the real champion is him, so watch how they handle business. Callis assured Andrade he’d give him his title shot and said he is a man of his word.

(1) JON MOXLEY vs. SHANE TAYLOR – AEW Continental Title match

Moxley’s music played and they cut to the steps outside the arena. Marina Shafir joined Mox as he entered the arena through the concourse. Callis said Mox was getting “a heroes welcome.” He’s from Cincinnati. Callis said “absolutely no outside interference is allowed.” (When is it allowed? Is it “allowed” in AEW World Title matches? TNT Title matches? What they need to say is that no one is allowed at ringside and then explain the ramifications if someone does show up that has teeth to it.) When Taylor made his entrance, Taz said, “If you’re not familiar with that man, he’s a bad apple.” He said he’s from Cleveland, a rival of Cincinnati. The bell rang 16 minutes into the hour.

Schiavone said Taylor was doing commentary two weeks ago on Collision and when Mox approached him, Taylor knocked him on his back with one punch. Excalibur said Taylor wants this to be a striking battle. Mox knocked Taylor off the ring apron to ringside. Taylor got the better of Mox at ringside and tossed him over the time keeper’s barricade. Taylor slammed Mox through a table with a uranage. They cut to a double-box break at 4:00. [c/db]

Taylor legdropped Mox on the edge of the ring with the cloth ring apron covering Mox. He then rubbed his forearm into Mox’s face. At 10:00, Taylor took Mox down with a lariat and scored a two count. The ref yelled at Taylor for punching Mox as he was in the ropes. Mox then dropped Taylor and applied a standing anklelock. Taylor escaped with an up-kick. Mox came back with a Bulldog Choke for the tapout win.

Excalibur said Mox earned every bit of that championship match win.

WINNER: Moxley in 12:00 to retain the AEW Continental Title.

-Taylor punched Mox afterward. Carlie Bravo at ringside handed Taylor a whip. Daniel Garcia ran out, but Sean Dean, Lee Moriarty, and Bravo outnumbered him. Marina Shafir then came out, but Trish Adora whacked her with a kendo stick. Taylor stayed in control in the ring and then landed a second rope splash.

-A vignette aired with Mercedes Mone saying she sat back and watched the opportunities get wasted and people try to fill her shoes and fail. She said she’s back to remind everyone who she is. She said no one will keep her from taking the Owen Hart Cup. She said Hazuki is next “and the CEO always collects.”

-Callis walked out and said he had a very important announcement that they’d want to hear. He introduced Knight. They entered the ring. Knight thanked Callis for a wonderful introduction. He called Cincinnati a “weird ass city.” Fans booed. He said it hurt him to break up his team with “Speedball” Mike Bailey. He said he is the face of TNT, though, and fans can’t be upset with that. Fans chanted, “F—-, Don Callis!” He said he he wants to become “Jet Two-Belts” with Callis’s partnership, and he said he liked the signing bonus. He called out MJF. Instead, Darby Allin’s music played and he attacked Knight from behind with his skateboard. Schiavone exclaimed, “Yes! Yes!” Darby yelled at Knight, “I hope New York was worth it, bitch!” Callis leaped out of the ring. Other Callis Family members ran out but Darby escaped. [c]

-They cut backstage where Mark Briscoe was chatting with Tony Khan. TK said what Briscoe said was “a good plan” and said, “You’re the man.” Briscoe began his ring entrance.

(Keller’s Analysis: That seemed like TK isn’t unbiased boss. They just went from Death Rider member Mox and his cohort Garcia being babyfaces in the first match to now Pac coming out being framed as a heel against Briscoe.)

(2) PAC vs. MARK BRISCOE

Excalibur said this would be a physical clash for the ages. He said they are worlds apart, stylistically. The bell rang 43 minutes into the hour. Excalibur said the Death Riders and Conglomeration have almost found themselves on the same page lately because of the Don Callis Family and Shane Taylor Promotions teaming up against them lately. Briscoe landed a leaping elbowdrop off the ring apron onto Pac at ringside at 4:00. Excalibur said the move was made famous by their newest colleague, Mick Foley. Pac gave Briscoe a brainbuster suplex onto a chair at ringside and then they cut to a double-box break. [c/db]

Briscoe got in sustained offense after the break. Pac back elbowed to escape Briscoe’s grip. They both tumbled over the top rope to the floor on a Briscoe vertical suplex. Briscoe landed a blockbuster off the ring apron at ringside and then scored a near fall in the ring. Briscoe leaped off the top rope with his Froggy Bow, but Pac lifted his knees. Pac then went for a Black Arrow, but Briscoe moved. Pac overhead tossed a charging Briscoe into the corner and then went for a Black Arrow again. He actually landed it despite Briscoe sort of lifting his knees. The knees grazed Pac’s ribs, I suppose, and then he hit a Jay Driller for the win. Taz said it could have gone either way.

WINNER: Briscoe in 13:00.

-Briscoe called out MJF afterward. He said he MJF said “no” because he’s “a bitch.” He asked MJF to come out so he could explain it to him. MJF’s music immediately played. They cut to a break. [c]

[HOUR TWO]

-MJF stepped out and said Briscoe is not a great listener. He said he is the final word in AEW and the law and there is no one more important than him. He said his final word to him as far as getting the title shot is no. He said a rising tide lifts all ships, and he said he is the rising tide of AEW. He said if Briscoe won the AEW Title, he’d be an anchor. He said the people want to boo him, but they should respect him for protecting the World Title from Briscoe. He mocked Briscoe for having friends. “Friends are stupid,” he said. He said friends are a liability whereas he has the most important thing in the world – money. He said money talks. Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson attacked MJF as he told them to earn their pay. Briscoe blocked a Lethal Injection and fought back. Briscoe set up a Jay Driller on Lethal, but Johnson and Christian stopped him. Tomohiro Hishii, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Orange Cassidy ran out for the save and cleared the ring.

Briscoe told MJF that he knows something MJF doesn’t know. He said, “You’re not the boss, you’re just an asshole.” He said he’s not the highest power, because he talked to his boss, Tony Khan. He said they need a main event for Forbidden Door. He said they’re doing six-on-six, and if his team wins, he gets a guaranteed title shot. Briscoe said they’re going to do it all in a cage because TK is “a sicko.”

Andrade then made his entrance and he walked past MJF and had a staredown with him. He wore his IWGP Global Heavyweight Title.

(Keller’s Analysis: There’s a good flow here from the match to a promo exchange to another match, further planting seeds for the MJF-Andrade match after establishing how Briscoe can earn a title match. It was clever to have MJF write off friends and brag about being the highest power only to have to find five “friends” to team with thanks to someone more powerful than him. MJF continues to “get it” regarding how to get consistent heel heat in 2026. Briscoe was good here, too.)

(3) ORANGE CASSIDY vs. ANDRADE

The bell rang 7 minutes into the hour. Callis joined in on commentary. They cut to a double box break at 4:00 with Andrade in control at ringside. [c/db]

They fought back and forth. Andrade paused to be part of a selfie with a woman at ringside. Cassidy leaped onto Andrade and then looked at the front row where Lio Rush was hanging out being weird. He posed for a selfie with Rush. Andrade jumped Cassidy. Rush asked Andrade for a selfie. Callis said Andrade shouldn’t get anywhere near that maniac. They had a bizarre exchange. Cassidy gave Andrade a tornado DDT on the floor.

They fought back and forth in the ring, exchanging some two counts. Cassidy then slugged Andrade with a right. Both ended up down and were slow to get up as the ref counted. Cassidy did his slo-mo bit and then went for a springboard move. Andrade cut him off. Cassidy shoved Andrade over the top rope onto the ramp. He followed with a leaping tornado DDT onto the ramp. He quickly rolled Andrade into the ring and then leaped off the rope with another tornado DDT for a near fall at 14:00.

Cassidy signaled for an Orange Punch. Andrade, though, caught Cassidy with a spinning back elbow and his DM for the win.

WINNER: Andrade in 15:00.

-Afterward, Andrade said, “Ohio, I have one question.” He paused and then said, “How you know?”

-A promo with Will Ospreay aired, which was recorded last week after Dynamite. He said nothing would stop him from going to the main event of All In and becoming the AEW World Champion. Alex Windsor walked up to him and hugged him and sobbed after losing her match earlier. Ospreay moved the camera away from pointing at them having a private moment.

-A Thekla vignette aired. [c]

-A backstage promo aired with Moxley, Garcia, and Shafir. Mox was struggling to speak as he told Taylor he could have walked away with his pride. Shafir and Garcia then spoke. Garcia suggested a five-on-five street fight on Collision.

(4) SKYE BLUE vs. MAYA WORLD – Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match

A promo aired with Triangle of Maddness. Renee did a sideline report about how Maya was wrestling on behalf of her late brother. Excalibur said Sareee suffered a neck injury and wasn’t cleared when she arrived in the US. The bell rang 33 minutes into the hour. They cut to a double-box break at 4:00. [c/db]

Blue scored a near fall at 10:00 after a cutter. As Blue fretted over the kickout, World recovered and scored a leverage three count just as fans were chanting, “This is awesome!” Excalibur explained, “What an upset!”

WINNER: World in 11:00 to advance.

-Excalibur showed the Owen brackets. [c]

-MJF proposed to Don Callis that he give him use of five of his wrestlers. Callis said his men aren’t just slabs of meat. MJF opened a brief case of cash and Callis accepted. Knight told him that he’s apparently looking for top guys, so look no further than him. He said he’d join him at Forbidden Door as long as he gets a shot at his title afterward. MJF said he was one of his picks to team with him, and he agreed to giving him a rematch. He said if he loses again, though, there won’t be another rematch. Knight accepted the offer and they shook on it. The rest of the active Callis Family observed all of this. Callis then said, “Let’s spend this money!” Andrade expressed concern with him being a priority. Callis said there are a lot of members with talent in his family, but he gave him his word he’d get his title shot. Andrade looked at him skeptically.

(Keller’s Analysis: Fun segment, although I’m curious if MJF just walks around with a briefcase full of money all the time. He didn’t know, in storyline, that he’d have to bribe Callis tonight.)

(5) SWERVE STRICKLAND vs. BRODY KING – Owen Hart Foundation Tournament semi-final

They went to Renee at ringside standing by the Owen tournament trophy and belt. She said Swerve said he might stretch or break rules given the stakes tonight. Swerve came out first. Then Brody. The bell rang 54 minutes into the hour. They cut to a very early double-box break. [c/db]

They battled back and forth, including at ringside. Eventually, Brody came up bleeding. Swerve landed a top rope House Call at 13:00 for a believable near fall. Brody backdropped out of a Vertibreaker. Brody gave Swerve a running Death Valley Driver into the corner. Taz said, “That was bad news.” Brody’s blood was splattered all over the canvas in the corner. Prince Nana yelled at Brody from the ring apron. Brody put him in a sleeper and shoved him to the floor. Brody then landed a canonball on Swerve followed by a leaping piledriver for a near fall.

Brody lifted Swerve for a Gonzo Bomb. Swerve escaped and then Nana hit Brody with an object at ringside when Brody offered his head to him for some reason. Swerve then drove Brody into the mat and scored a three count.

WINNER: Swerve in 16:00 to advance to the Owen final.
