NJPW champion to make ROH debut

Tomohiro Ishii, the multiple-time NEVER Openweight champion, is coming to the U.S. for Ring of Honor’s 14th Anniversary PPV Weekend on February 26 & 27 in Las Vegas.

ROH announced Tuesday that Ishii will make his ROH debut on the anniversary tour.

Ishii is near the top of the card for New Japan’s “Wrestle Kingdom 10” Tokyo Dome Show on January 4 when he faces Shibata in what should be a very physical, hard-hitting match.

  1. I hate misleading headlines like that LOL. When you say NJPW champion, most people assume the IWGP Heavyweight Champion (speaking of which, this site always writes IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, but even NJPW just calls it the IWGP Heavyweight Championship)
