BRIAN MYERS & MATT CARDONA SUPER 7 FIGURE

Last week, I received the highly anticipated Brian Myers and Matt Cardona figures made by Super 7. These wrestling figures have been heavily discussed by Cardona and Myers on their Major Wrestling Figure Podcast for nearly a year. Did they live up to the hype? Yes!

These are arguably some of the best wrestling figures ever produced. A lot of thought and care went into the details. As figures collectors themselves, Myers and Cardona have discussed on the podcast how they were in contact with the designers throughout the process to make sure all of the details were addressed and the final product really shows the effort.

I appreciated the detailed work in the wrist tape, the jackets, tattoos, and the ring attire to make things as accurate as possible. The accessories are top-notch as well and include multiple heads with different facial expressions, multiple hands, dog tags, and even mini action figures of each.

The figures are definitely pricey (currently $44.99 each), but are worth it. You can check them out at ringsidecollectibles.com, bigbadtoystore.com and entertainmentearth.com.

In the News

-Over Revolution weekend, AEW and Jazwares released images and lineups for figures in the coming year. If those images are any indication, AEW figure collectors will be very busy in the next few months.

The assortment that I saw on Twitter was incredible. I give Jazwares credit for continuing to improve and for making figures of as many characters as possible. Highlights included:

-For me, the standout was the 2-pack featuring Brodie Lee and Negative 1. This touching piece sold out during its first pre-sale, but is back on ringsidecollectibles.com for $59.99 with an estimated ship date of early-June.

-Upcoming wrestlers appearing in the AEW figure line for the first time include Jade Cargill, Christian Cage, Thunder Rosa, Eddie Kingston, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Brian Cage, Taz, Private Party, Jamie Hayter, Shawn Spears, Red Velvet, Malakai Black, Penelope Ford, Kip Sabian, Adam Cole, Andrade El Idolo, Hook, Ruby Soho, Bryan Danielson, and CM Punk.

-In addition, new styles of favorites such as Sting, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker, and many more will be available.

-Shopaew.com offered an exclusive (limited to 3000) version of Chris Jericho that sold out within the hour it was put on sale.

-Game Stop is offering figures of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in Street Fighter themed attire for pre-sale on their website for $24.99 each.

-Things were pretty quiet on the WWE Front. However, in anticipation of his upcoming segment with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, wweshop.com has a line of new shirts available for “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. They’ve also added new shirts for Vader, Ronda Rousey, and Alpha Academy.

Coming Up

-Highspotsauctions.com has a virtual signing with Trish Stratus on Sunday, March 13th. Mini-turnbuckles, Funko Pop figures, and photos can be purchased to be signed.

-Prowrestlingtees.com is offering a Hangman Page Street Fighter t-shirt for only two weeks. The shirt is for sale through March 23rd at 1pm EST.

  1. It’s a damn shame Ethan Page STILL doesn’t have a figure when there are so many repeats, especially given what an avid figure collector he is. Also would have liked a Dante Martin and Acclaimed set, rather than more Lucha Bros and lesser depth players like Red Velvet.

Oh well, maybe there will be a next year.
