Jonathan Gresham will appear and compete at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV event on April 23. Impact announced on Friday morning that Gresham would face Eddie Edwards. Gresham appeared on this week’s episode of television and saved Rocky Romero from an Edwards attack.

Gresham won the ROH World Championship at the ROH Final Battle PPV event in December. Gresham defeated Jay Lethal to win the championship. He’s scheduled to face Bandido at the ROH Supercard of Honor event to determine the undisputed ROH world champion. Gresham vs. Bandido was originally scheduled for Final Battle, but was cancelled due to Bandido testing positive for COVID-19. ROH has been on hiatus since the beginning of 2022. AEW President, Tony Khan, purchased the company at the beginning of March and will be the head booker for the Supercard of Honor show and for the foreseeable future.

Edwards has been an Impact Wrestling mainstay since his 2014 debut with the company as part of The Wolves with Davey Richards. He is a two-time World Champion in Impact Wrestling and a five-time Tag Team Champion. Edwards has also been X-Division Champion and is former ROH World Champion. Edwards is scheduled to face Tomohiro Ishii at the Multiverse of Matches event on April 1.

Impact Wrestling Rebellion will air live on Fite TV on Saturday April 23. Announced matches on the card include Josh Alexander vs. Moose for the Impact World Championship and a promotion vs. promotion match with Jonah facing Tomohiro Ishii.
