3/23 Lucha Underground viewers – audience surges 48 percent for Rey & Aztec Warfare

The combination of Rey Mysterio’s in-ring Lucha Underground debut and the show-long “Aztec Warfare” match appear to have led to a 48 percent increase in total viewership for this week’s LU episode.

March 23: Week 9 drew a total audience of 232,000 viewers, up 48 percent from last week’s audience of 157,000 viewers. It was the most viewers of Season 2.

The first-run airing drew 163,000 viewers, up from 100k last week and the most this season.

The replay then drew 69,000 viewers, up from 57k last week. It was the most replay viewers since February 10.

– DEMOGRAPHICS: Lucha drew a median age of 46.0-years-old, the second-youngest audience of the season.

As a result, LU doubled their adults 18-49 audience from 40k last week to 80k this week.

The a18-49 audience of 80,000 was just short of the season high of 81k in February.

The adults demographic split 81 percent males 18-49 and 19 percent females 18-49.

LU drew the most m18-49 viewers of the season and the most f18-49 viewers since February.
