(1) Katsuhiko Nakajima beat David Finlay.

(2) Bullet Club’s Kenny Omega & Yujiro Takahashi beat Satoshi Kojima & Captain New Japan.

(3) L.I.J. (Naito & EVIL & BUSHI) beat YOSHI-HASHI & Gedo & Toru Yano in a six-man tag match.

(4) KUSHIDA & Michael Elgin & Shibata & Ryusuke Taguchi & Juice Robinson beat Yuji Nagata & Honma & Nakanishi & Jushin Liger & Tiger Mask IV in a mega-10-man tag match.

A Block Matches

(5) Naomichi Marufuji beat Tama Tonga.

(6) Sanada beat Tomohiro Ishii.

(7) Tanahashi beat Tenzan. Tanahashi has now won five in a row after starting 0-3 and Tenzan has lost six in a row after starting 2-0.

(8) Bad Luck Fale beat IWGP World Hvt. champion Kazuchika Okada.

(9) Hirooki Goto beat Togi Makabe.

Now, Okada, Tanahashi, Marufuji, Fale, and Goto are all tied for first with 10 points heading into the final A Block show on August 12.

  1. A Block has a rather convoluted final day:

    Goto wins if he beats Marufuji and Tanahashi/Okada ends in a draw.
    Marufuji wins if he beats Goto and both Tanahashi & Fale lose their matches.
    Okada wins if he beats Tanahashi and both Marufuji & Fale lose their matches.
    Tanahashi wins if he beats Okada.
    Fale wins if he beats Tonga and both Goto & Tanahashi lose their matches.

    If none of those specific things happen you can get into weird situations like Okada, Goto, and Fale all winning, ending up in a three way tie, and having a rock, paper, scissors chain of wins against each other. I’d be interested to see how they’d handle that, though I expect that it’ll shake out as a clean win for either Okada or Tanahashi.
