[HOUR ONE]

– The show opened with a video package recapping Seth Rollins qualifying to Money in the Bank before being attacked by CM Punk.

– Michael Cole took off his shirt to reveal that he was wearing a Pacers jersey and that he lost a bet.

– CM Punk made his way to the ring to say that they were approaching the Summer of Punk. Punk said that he had already cashed-in a briefcase successfully twice and this year, he would make it a third time. Punk said that if he cashed-in on Jey Uso, it would just be business. He said that if he cashed-in on John Cena, he would go on to pick his bones. Punk said that it was time for him to win the world title back.

– Sami Zayn interrupted to tell Punk that he could no longer go through Money in the Bank, but Punk still could. Sami told Punk that he had to win tonight and only focus on that. He said that he and Jey Uso would take care of Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Sami said that if Rollins won the briefcase, this place would be gone. Sami said that he needed Punk to win and when he does, he would meet him for a very different conversation.

(Pomares’ Analysis: A strongly executed opening segment to establish the stakes for tonight’s main event and the Money in the Bank ladder match. I’m not sure how necessary it was since I don’t think any story was furthered in a significant manner, but it was still a good addition to the show.)

– A video package was shown, recapping Kairi Sane defeating Liv Morgan last week.

– Backstage, Liv Morgan refused to speak with Roxanne Perez and told her to stay out of her match tonight. Liv crossed paths with Iyo Sky and told her that she would cash-in on her before making her way to the ring.

[Commercial Break]

– A video package was shown, highlighting Stephanie Vaquer’s work since arriving to WWE.

(1) STEPHANIE VAQUER vs. LIV MORGAN vs. IVY NILE – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Liv nailed Nile with a back elbow before receiving a headbutt from Vaquer. Vaquer took Liv and Nile down with a springboard crossbody. Liv blasted Nile with a Penalty kick, only for Vaquer to shut her down with a back suplex. Vaquer smashed Liv and Nile’s heads into the mat with the Devil’s Kiss. Liv hit Vaquer with a basement dropkick and put her down with the Three Amigos. Vaquer nailed Liv with a corner double knee strike, only for Nile to lay them out with a German suplex, as WWE Raw went to commercials.

[Commercial Break]

Back from break, Vaquer hit Nile with Eat Defeat and crushed Liv with a double knee strike in the corner. Vaquer knocked Liv down with a dragon screw, but Nile broke the pinfall. Vaquer caught Liv with an enzuigiri and slapped her atop the turnbuckle. Nile dropped Vaquer and Liv with a Tower of Doom for a close two count. Vaquer and Nile exchanged pinning combinations, until Liv took both of them down with a diving Codebreaker. Liv tried to hit Nile with Oblivion, but Vaquer stopped her with a backslide. Liv nailed Vaquer with a Codebreaker and Oblivion, only for Nile to try and steal her pin. Nile drove Live into the ring post before Vaquer beat her with the SVB.

WINNER: Stephanie Vaquer at 10:17

(Pomares’ Analysis: A very good match and introduction for Stephanie Vaquer to the main roster. She is already being treated like a star and getting a strong crowd reaction. Out of the recent call-ups from NXT, I think she’ll be the first to win gold.)

– Backstage, Paul Heyman told AJ Styles to focus on going for Dominik Mysterio’s title and to leave the Money in the Bank to Seth Rollins. AJ told Heyman that he wouldn’t buy what he was selling and to tell Rollins that he knew about his plan.

[Commercial Break]

– A vignette was shown, featuring Rusev calling Sheamus out for letting him fade away while helping a stranger. Rusev said that Sheamus had a body of granite and a neck of sand, warning him that he would snap it.

– Backstage, Sheamus gave Akira Tozawa, Natalya and Maxxine Dupri some advice. Cathy Kelley showed up to interview Sheamus who said that his WWE career imploded because of his own fault. Sheamus warned Rusev that he bullied bullies.

[Commercial Break]

(2) WAR RAIDERS (Erik & Ivar) vs. JUDGMENT DAY (Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh)

Finn cornered Erik with shoulder thrusts and choked him out behind the referee’s back. JD missed a corner splash, reaching Ivar for the tag. Ivar dropped JD with a bodyslam and knocked Finn off the apron with a handspring move. Ivar launched JD out of the ring before Erik dropped him on top of JD. The War Raiders teased throwing JD’s body at the New Day to scare them. The referee ejected the New Day from ringside, as WWE Raw went to an ad break.

[Commercial Break]

[HOUR TWO]

Back from break, Finn nailed Ivar with a stomp and JD crushed him with a slingshot moonsault. JD clocked Ivar with boots to the face, until Ivar flattened him with a spinning powerslam. Erik dropped Finn and JD with Xploders before clotheslining JD out of the ring. Erik caught Finn with a pop up headbutt and cracked him with a knee to the face for a two count. JD pulled Erik out of the ring while Finn planted Ivar with an elbow drop for a two count.

Finn blasted Ivar with a shotgun dropkick, but missed the Coup de Grace. Ivar caught Finn with a seated senton and knocked JD down with a leg lariat. Ivar crushed Finn with a corner senton and climbed the top turnbuckle. Roxanne Perez showed up to distract Ivar, allowing JD to smash his head on the ring post. Finn immediately crushed Ivar with a Coup de Grace for the three count.

WINNERS: Judgment Day at 11:07

(Pomares’ Analysis: A very well-worked match that I don’t think will matter in the long run. The angle with Roxanne Perez will likely lead to some fun stuff in the Judgment Day story, but the tag division feels like an afterthought.)

– Backstage, Becky Lynch said that Lyra Valkyria had forgotten everything that she had done for her. Lynch said that Lyra was in a lose-lose situation because she needed to her to be relevant.

[Commercial Break]

– Backstage, Cathy Kelley tried to interview Stephanie Vaquer, but Rhea Ripley interrupted to shake her hand.

– Lyra Valkyria made her way to the ring to call Becky Lynch out, so she could say what she has to say to her face. Lynch showed up, only for Lyra to immediately interrupt her. Lyra told Lynch that she has hurt her the most and she had unlocked the side of her that could destroy her. Lyra said that she had already beaten Lynch and that she would make sure that she doesn’t poison the women’s Intercontinental title. Lynch said that Lyra just wanted an excuse to hate her and that she would hurt her by making her raise her hand. Lyra stopped Lynch from walking away and started brawling with her, until security guards showed up to separate them.

(Pomares’ Analysis: Not the strong segment these two have had, but still a solid go-home angle to their match at Money in the Bank. Only bad part was the crowd breaking out the ‘what’ chants for Lyra just after cheering her entrance.)

– A vignette was shown, featuring Penta saying that Money in the Bank was his destiny.

– Jey Uso and Sami Zayn made their way to the ring, ahead of their match against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

[Commercial Break]

(3) JEY USO & SAMI ZAYN vs. BRON BREAKKER & BRONSON REED (w/Paul Heyman)

Jey nailed Breakker with an enzuigiri, but Breakker shut him down with a lariat. as WWE Raw went to a commercial break.

[Commercial Break]

Back from break, Sami attacked Reed with chops, until Breakker pulled his hair behind the referee’s back. Breakker cracked Sami with a jumping knee, but Sami was able to retaliate with a Tornado DDT on Reed. Jey got the hot tag to take Breakker down with clotheslines and right hands, followed by an enzuigiri. Breakker dropped Jey wtih a spinning gutbuster for a close two count. Jey blocked a Spear with a superkick, but Breakker kicked out at two. Jey put Breakker in a sleeper hold, until Reed broke the hold with a senton. Reed crushed Sami with a corner splash before missing a splash on the apron. Sami tossed Breakker out of the ring, but Reed and Breakker caught his plancha. Jey crashed into everyone with a suicide dive, only for Seth Rollins to show up to hit him with a Curb Stomp.

WINNERS: Jey Uso & Sami Zayn at 9:00 via DQ

– After the match, Seth Rollins save Sami Zayn from a post-match assault by attacking Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker with a chair. Rollins retreated while telling Breakker and Reed that they would get him tonight.

(Pomares’ Analysis: Fun while it lasted, but it’s getting annoying to watch matches from this faction waiting for the interference to end the match.)

– Backstage, Liv Morgan told Finn Bálor that she knew what he was doing with Roxanne Perez. Finn said that Liv was just frustrated that she lost while he won tonight. Finn said that they would regain the tag titles and that Roxanne Perez could win the briefcase and the world title. Liv refused to allow Perez to come out with Raquel tonight and said that she would accompany her instead.

– Kairi Sane made her way to the ring, ahead of her match against Raquel Rodriguez

[Commercial Break]

(4) KAIRI SANE vs. RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ (w/Liv Morgan)

Raquel slammed Sane down , only for Sane to respond with a headscissors takeover and a wheelbarrow Stunner. Sane clobbered Raquel with a forearm strike, but Raquel blocked a flying move and swung her body into the apron. Liv took a cheap shot at Sane, allowing Raquel to lay her out with a series of clotheslines. Raquel drove Sane into the corner, but Sane slapped her from the top turnbuckle.

Sane countered a vertical suplex with a DDT and caught Raquel with a chop block. Sane nailed Raquel with an axe kick, followed by a bunch of forearms and chops. Before Raquel could react, Sant nailed her with a running blockbuster and a sliding forearm strike. Liv distracted Sane, but Iyo Sky immediately showed up to beat her down. Raquel grabbed Sky by the hair, until Sane clobbered her with a running kick to the head and beat her with the Insane Elbow.

WINNER: Kairi Sane at 6:02

(Pomares’ Analysis: A fine match, but nothing to go out of your way to watch. The crowd was more into chanting for R-Truth, until Iyo Sky showed up at the end. It’s odd to see Kairi Sane get another win, but maybe she could challenge for the women’s IC belt or the tag titles as a result.)

– Backstage, Karrion Kross told Sami Zayn that he was a liar, that he could have already been a world champion and that he wasn’t a good person. Sami said that Kross was wrong while Kross said that he might be right.

[Commercial Break]

[HOUR THREE]

– The commentary team ran down the match cards to Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank.

– A video package was shown, recapping the rivalry between Jey Uso and Gunther.

– Backstage, Gunther told Jey Uso that because he refused to think with his head, he would take the belt from him. Gunther said that Jey was selfless in a selfish business. Gunther said that Jey would likely help CM Punk tonight and team with Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank, days ahead of a title defense. He said that Jey was making it very easy for him and that the party would be over.

[Commercial Break]

(5) AJ STYLES vs. CM PUNK vs. EL GRANDE AMERICANO – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

AJ and Punk stomped Americano down and tossed him out of the ring. AJ caught Punk with a dropkick, only for Americano to shut him down with a running headbutt. Americano launched AJ across the ring with a monkey flip and took him down with a hurracarrana. Punk clocked Americano with a knee strike and smashed his head into the ring post. AJ nailed Punk with a forearm strike, only for Americano to trip him off the top rope. Punk tried to take Americano’s mask out, but Americano pulled his head into the ropes. Americano crashed into Punk with a cannonball and drove AJ over the announce table, as WWE Raw went to commercials.

[Commercial Break]

Back from break, AJ planted Americano with an avalanche back suplex before receiving a diving elbow drop from Punk. Punk took Americano down with a swinging neckbreaker and hit AJ with a jumping knee strike. Americano laid Punk out with a clothesline and planted AJ with a German suplex. Punk blocked a high crossbody and tried to go for the GTS, only for AJ to plant him and Americano with a DDT and reverse DDT. Americano countered the Styles Clash with an ankle lock. Punk tried to hit Americano with a GTS, but Americano trapped him in an ankle lock. AJ laid Americano out with Styles Clash, only for Punk to break the pinfall.

Punk hit AJ with a swinging neckbreaker before Americano broke the pinfall. Punk surprised AJ with a jackknife pinfall, but Americano broke the pinfall with a moonsault. Americano took AJ down before Punk knocked him out with a GTS. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed showed up to break the pinfall and assault Punk. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso showed up to brawl with them, until AJ took everyone out with a springboard splash. Back in the ring, Americano blocked a Phenomenal Forearm with a headbutt with his metal plate to pick up the win.

WINNER: El Grande Americano at 11:49

– After the match, Seth Rollisn, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker assault Sami Zayn, CM Punk and Jey Uso, taking them out with Spears and Curb Stomps.

(Pomares’ Analysis: A pretty good main event and a decent go-home show to Money in the Bank, assuming the men’s ladder match main events the show. They’ve built the crux of the ladder match on whether Rollins wins or not, so I fully expect to get everyone involved in that match. Not surprised Gable is in this match, but didn’t expect WWE to double book him on the same day as Worlds Collide.)
