SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Former WWE NXT tag champion Wesley Blake (Cory Weston) was arrested on a DUI charge back in July. The arrest came to light this week via report by former TMZ producer Ryan Satin.

PWTorch has obtained court and arrest records showing the following events:

– Weston was cited for allegedly driving under the influence early Friday morning, July 3 in Orlando. Weston was arrested by an officer with the Florida Highway Patrol about seven minutes away from WWE’s Performance Center.

– At the time of his arrest, Weston refused a breathalyzer test, which carried a penalty of one-year suspended driver’s license. Video shows Weston being informed of the situation by FHP officer Junior Jorge.

Weston eventually bonded out of jail for $500 and a court date was set for July 21.

– Court records show the July 21 hearing was cancelled after Weston filed a “not guilty” plea on July 13.

The case was moved to a diversion program on August 13, which allows Weston to complete certain requirements to satisfy the penalty of his DUI charge.

Records show that Weston was not present at the Aug. 13 hearing. He was represented by counselor Jonathan Witt and the case was “held in abeyance,” presumably until completion of the diversion program.

There have not been any court records since Aug. 13 when the case was referred to pre-trial diversion.
