– New WWE World champion Dean Ambrose’s first scheduled title defense will be against his former Shield brothers Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a three-way match at the Battleground PPV on July 24.

Rollins vs. Reigns in a #1 contender match ended in a double count-out, prompting authority figure Shane McMahon to book a triple threat match for the next PPV.

– The feud between John Cena and A.J. Styles/The Club continued with Styles tricking Cena into facing Karl Anderson “one on one.” When Anderson was about to be pinned, Cena and Luke Gallows took out Cena, who then took the Styles Clash.

– The Wyatt Family returned to Raw TV after a two-month absence. However, Bray Wyatt’s return speech was interrupted by WWE tag champions New Day, apparently setting up a new WWE Tag Title feud.

– Sasha Banks returned to TV to assert herself in the Women’s Title picture.

Women’s champion Charlotte beat Paige in a title match, then Sasha returned to make the save and proclaim herself the next Women’s champion.

– Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn continued their feud with Zayn beating Owens in a singles match. However, the fight continued well after the match, signaling the feud will continue despite Zayn’s desire to end things with Owens.

– IC champion The Miz and Maryse resurfaced in a video interview from the movie shoot of “Marine 5.”

– Shane McMahon ran Raw by himself this week. Stephanie McMahon did not appear on the show.

– John Laurinaitis returned to Raw TV trying to name himself a candidate to run Raw or Smackdown when the Brand Split takes effect.

Throughout Raw, WWE heavily hyped The Draft taking place on the first live Smackdown on July 19. Notably, the GMs-to-be-named will stand at podiums on the stage and draft their roster during the live Smackdown episode.

– Triple H, who has been off main TV since WrestleMania, appeared in non-wrestling video packages as a Corporate Executive, such as representing WWE in China last week.

– Announced for Thursday night on Smackdown is Seth Rollins in action.

– Announced for the ESPNews SportsCenter Interview on Tuesday night is U.S. champion Rusev and Lana.
