SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Sean “X-Pac” Waltman said on the latest “TheTomorrow Show with Kevin Undergaro” that Roman Reigns’s heath could’ve been adversely affected by negative fan reaction to him. The following are highlights supplied by the show’s producer to PWTorch.com.

•On how negative fan reactions could have affected Roman’s health crisis: “I’ve been there. I’ve been in the gorilla position, when he’s come back, from, you know, going out there and giving everything. You leave everything out there. I mean emotionally everything, not just f—ing physically. And then just to come back and that rejection, it’s fucking, ugh… If you don’t think that that has anything to do with any of this, I’m sorry, but, you know, you’re kind of naive. All these negative sh– that’s coming at you affects us. … I mean, that’s their right to have the opinion that they don’t like, you know, the character… It was just the viciousness, and the fucking meanness… and the sh– being so personal, you know?”

•On the Dean Ambrose turn against Seth Rollins at the end of Raw: “There is debate on ‘oh that was, you know, tasteless exploitation of this. I totally disagree. Everyone’s in on it now. I guarantee you Roman was a thousand percent down for it, because we love that. We love to be able to do that.”

•On Ronda Rousey now being a big of a Face of WWE now as anyone: “There’s a few people that are kinda the face of that company. Ronda Rousey is the face of that company as much as anyone is right now.”

•On WWE’s concussion protocol being ahead of its time, even the NFL:

Keven: “With Sasha, you know, do you think where she’s had some head trauma now and she’s young, what do you advise her?”

Sean: “Sh– happens and you just have to deal with it properly, and obviously you try to be a little bit more cautious out there.”

Keven: “Can you be more cautious though when it comes to it being your best and that sport?”

Sean: “Policy wise, okay no more chairshots to the head, things like that. That they’ve already implemented, you know. And concussion protocols that they’re working on, constantly trying to get better at things when it comes to that. That company is really good with that, much better than the NFL, that’s for goddamn sure. It’s ridiculous. They were just giving a quarterback smelling salts! There was no active, ya know, WWE trying to suppress information on concussions like the NFL was doing. They’ve always been good at it, Kev. In the ’90s, in ’95, Vince wouldn’t let me work because I had a concussion.”

•On Jerry Lawler’s secret to still wrestling at 70: “Two years ago I wrestled him at the Memphis Grizzlies game, in the halftime. And the first thing he did when I hit him, he’s like, ‘back drop me.’ First thing he called from a 70-year-old was a back drop. He never got drunk, he never did drugs.”

When Keven replied “That’s the secret?” Sean said: “That’s one of ’em.”
