WWE Raw TV News & Notes 3/28

– John Cena did not appear on Raw after teasing an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show earlier in the day.

– Raw closed with a pull-apart brawl between WWE World Hvt. champion Triple H and Roman Reigns to complete the WrestleMania 32 hype. This was the third fight of the show between the WWE Title competitors.

During the first fight, the Brooklyn crowd was firmly against Reigns. By the time the third fight happened at the end of Raw, the vocal portion of the crowd continued to boo Reigns.

– The Undertaker and Shane McMahon opened Raw with a heated verbal exchange before physicality broke out. Shane ended up putting Taker through a table with a top-rope elbow drop.

Later in the show, Shane confronted Vince McMahon, vowing to unleash 40 years of anger towards Vince on Taker at WM32.

– Brock Lesnar’s final appearance before WrestleMania included Paul Heyman hyping Lesnar as the winner of his match against Dean Ambrose, who interrupted to gather weapons in a wagon down at ringside. Ambrose gathered up his weapons, then left ringside without acknowledging Lesnar, who smirked as he watched Ambrose act crazy.

– ESPN SportsCenter anchor “The Coach” Jonathan Coachman made a surprise appearance endorsing New Day opposite the League of Nations. Coach also announced SportsCenter coverage of WM32 on-site at AT&T Stadium in Texas.

– Eva Marie returned to WWE TV to be added to a 10-Divas tag match on the WrestleMania pre-show.

– A giant brawl broke out after Big Show & Kane beat the Social Outcasts via DQ in a tag match. It was a preview of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal on the WM32 pre-show.

– Announced for Smackdown is Dean Ambrose vs. Erick Rowan. The Wyatts did not appear on Raw.

  1. Anyone else notice Shane missed Taker by a foot?? Great dive off the top rope, but that spot was obviously botched. Why is it that before every Wrestlermania show there has to be a brawl?
