NXT LIVE EVENT REPORT
APRIL 28, 2017
ST. LOUIS, MO.
REPORT BY KYPE PFEFFER, PWTORCH CORRESPONDENT

(1) No Way Jose beat Eric Young (w/rest of Sanity) with a roll-up. Sanity issued an open challenge, and out came DIY.

(2) DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) beat Sanity. Nikki and Eric tossed from ringside. I really liked how the big hairy guy let “fuzzy wuzzy” chants get to him and stopped beating his opponent to yell at the crowd. DIY won with their finisher.

(3) Sonya Deville beat Aliyah after a wicked kick to the head.

(4) Dylan Miley beat Patrick Clark.

(5) Aleister Black beat Cezar Bononi. The crowd chanted “Caesar salad” at Bononi. Black won after a vicious roundhouse to the head.

Intermission

(6) Hideo Itami beat Andrade “Cien” Almas.

(7) Asuka & Ruby Riat beat Billie Kaye & Peyton Royce when Asuka scored the pin.

(8) Bobby Roode pinned Tye Dillinger after a low blow and a DDT to retain the NXT Title. Both the women’s and men’s belts weren’t the normal belts. That made a lot of people upset. The highlight of the show was when Roode pulled a Nashville Predator’s jersey from under the ring and put it on. The crowd went into a large “Let’s Go Blues!” chant (a reference to the local NHL playing a second round playoff game head-to-head with this event in St. Louis against the Nashville Predators) and Tye went to the crowd for a Blues jersey. He went to town on Bobby wearing it. He then ripped the jersey off of Roode and gave it an elbow drop and threw it out the ring. Bobby ultimately won with his second DDT after a low blow when he was holding onto the ref as Tye was trying to German suplex him.

After Roode won, he grabbed a chair and came into the ring and tried to hit Tye, but Tye low-blowed him and hit his finisher. Roode then got up and is gave him “10s” and turned away from Tye and then turned around to try to hit Tye but as he did he got kicked in the gut and stunned to end the show.

No need to ask ahead of time!  The closer to the above format, the better, with the matches numbered and then listing who beat whom at the start of each result, then adding some details and the finish.
