REPORT BY HARLEY R. PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR

Onozaki said she’s never had a singles match with Konami. Konami wondered if she’s grown at all since joining Queen’s Quest.

(1) ARTIST OF STARDOM CHAMPION KONAMI vs. LEO ONOZAKI

Konami won with a release German suplex and a kick to the head.

WINNER: Konami in 5:38.

(Pageot’s Perspective: She said she’d win with the triangle lancer. What a liar.)

Sumire said she didn’t have any comments and that was more than Iida deserved. Iida said she’d watch out for Sumire’s weapons and with the Iidabashi.

(2) NATSU SUMIRE vs. SAYA IIDA

Sumire went up top but Iida cut her off. Sumire asked why she was up there. She doesn’t do a brainbuster. She warned her not to herself or her. Iida climbed down. Sumire told her to back up so she could get down. She tried to surprise her with a crossbody but Iida ducked and Sumire crashed. Iida looked for the Iidabashi but Sumire slid her shoulders over and pinned her.

WINNER: Natsu Sumire in 7:04.

(Pageot’s Perspective: The fact that Sumire isn’t mentioned under the topic of hilarious pro wrestlers as often as people like Cabana, Yano, and Cassidy is a crying shame.)

Miyagi told us bastards that she had three matches upcoming against three people she’d never faced before but she would teach the little turds something. Kid asked if Miyagi is from the demon world. She acknowledged the size difference and said she’d do her best.

(3) ANDRAS MIYAGI vs. STARLIGHT KID

Miyagi shoved the referee into Kid. Kid pushed him out of the way. While his back was to them, Miyagi hit Kid with a steel chair. Tombstone piledriver for the win.

WINNER: Andras Miyagi in 8:38.

(Pageot’s Perspective: The bloom is off the rose for Miyagi.)

Kashima said this was their first time teaming together as a duo. Hoshiki wasn’t sure if that was true or not but went along with it. Watanabe said she was at the bottom since losing the white belt.

(4) QUEEN’S QUEST (World Of Stardom Champion Bea Priestley & Momo Watanabe) vs. STARS (Wonder Of Stardom Champion Arisa Hoshiki & Saki Kashima)

Hoshiki and Watanabe fought to the floor. Priestley hit Queen’s Landing on Kashima.

WINNERS: Queen’s Quest in 8:25.

(Pageot’s Perspective: As expected.)

Kagetsu said Tora has a new nickname. It’s Katana-chan. Hazuki gushed about how cute it is. Kyona and Kimura were without Death for their backstage promo. Kyona said Death reminds her of someone. Doesn’t she know her? Kimura crept up to the camera and whispered confidentially that she’s Kaori Yoneyama when she arrives at the venue but then she uses magic to transform into Death. Kyona was surprised at this news. They ran off and a circle of flame formed in the darkness and spiralled inward as Yoneyama could be heard yelling “Death!” over and over.

(5) TOKYO CYBER SQUAD (Death Yama-san & Artist Of Stardom Champions Hana Kimura & Jungle Kyona w/Konami) vs. OEDO TAI (High Speed Champion Hazuki, Kagetsu, & Natsuko Tora w/Natsu Sumire & Andras Miyagi)

Kyona and Tora started. Death and Hazuki tagged in at 3:30. The teams brawled into the crowd. Tora choked her former JAN stable mate Death with a rope. Oedo Tai isolated and worked over Death. She came back with a springboard double arm drag and tagged Kyona. She and Tora fought again. Kimura tagged in for the first time at 8:00, as did Kagetsu. The former friends went at each other. Kyona prevented an Oedo Coaster on Kimura and Death hit Kagetsu with a superplex. Death and Hazuki wound up as the legal women and Death hit a Code Red for the pin.

WINNERS: Tokyo Cyber Squad in 12:21.

-Death cradled the high speed title belt. Kimura said she was the final secret weapon for TCS. On the next show Death challenges Hazuki for the title. Kimura hoped she would win.

(Pageot’s Perspective: This was the first match on the show that could have gone either way. A bit of a surprising finish in that Death seems like a comedy character on the surface but she pinned a champion here so I guess we’re not intended to view her that way. Death vs. the demon Miyagi seems like a showdown worth building to.)
