“RINSE AND REPEAT”

It’s odd to say that the show that contains Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Bayley would be the show that is telling the “lesser” of the stories of women in WWE. That’s not to say that Raw is doing a bad job, but it falters in comparison to SD Live. Tonight we’ll see the Queen defend her covenant title against the Hugster after the latter pinned the former in a mixed-tag team match. While WWE is advertising this as the main event (and it should be) it’s nice that the “historic significance” of the women closing the show isn’t being shoved down our throats, and it’s just becoming natural to have two of your best workers finish things up strong. While Charlotte/Banks was possibly feud of the year in 2016, this current feud with Bayley has been much better since Royal Rumble and I look forward to the next chapter that they write in Vegas tonight!

“FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US!”

I implore you to give a listen to “Talk is Jericho” and his live-show with best friend Kevin Owens. Even off-camera the chemistry that has surfaced between these two is so strong it’s a shame that a break up angle could be EXPLOSIVE! Until then, we’ll get to bask in the glory of the Universal and United States Champions FESTIVAL OF FRIENDSHIP which I hope will include home movies, stand-up, and a LIST of all the things Y2J loves about KO. Oh yeah…wrestling stuff. Uh…Well KO is set to defend his red belt against Goldberg at Fastlane and I would assume Jericho isn’t done with Kevin’s former best mate Sami Zayn. Now that I think about it…this festival has the potential for disaster and I’m SNACKING ON IT.

“SIT YO ASS DOWN”

FYI the headline is a direct quote from the new hitman of the Raw Roster Samoa Joe. After defeating the Roman Empire last week (CLEAN AS A WHISTLE BRAUN DIDN’T DO ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER.) Joe looks to continue his 18 year grudge of destruction in the name of Hunter Hearst Helmsley. With Seth still on the sidline (should be good for mania though) Joe will be looking to get his hands covered in more blood but against who? Your guess is as good as mine because the only likely opponent would be “The Likeable one” and he may be going for the U.S. title. Guess we’ll have to tune in and find out but Samoa Joe is literally enough for me to watch anything.

“LONG AWAITED DEBUT”

Tonight’s the night. (Hey SD lyrics!) The long-awaited debut of a very “intriguing” new look for Emma aka Emmalina. Will she get involved in the women’s title match and immediately insert herself into the picture? Will she squash the likes of Alicia Fox or Dana Brooke? WILL SHE EVEN ACTUALLY BE THERE? I’ll believe it when I see it but for the love of GOD we need Emma back in the rotation to spice things up.

HOW TO MAKE A CLUB SANDWICH: GALLOWS + ANDERSON +GOLD”

Last week in Portland the tag champs were able to fend off the surge of Cesaro & Sheamus and pick up a DQ victory. Enzo & Cass got involved which could mean a few things: Either the REALEST GUYS and SHEAMSARO are going to go at it for a #1 contender spot, a 3-way for the belts as Fastlane, or The Club is ready to move on and look ahead to a very weak tag division and begin their mean streak. To be honest after witnessing the MOTY between #DIY and the Revival and seeing how dominant the new NXT Tag Team Champion Authors of Pain have faired, I wonder if the main rosters will eventually look at cleansing the tag-team division because a few times aside on both shows it’s just not good right now, and makes it even harder to get into.

“BUT DID YOU KNOWWWWWWWWWW”

-The Boss seems like she enjoys traveling with the company only for her to be consistently evaluated and told that she is still not 100% ready to return to action. Nia Jax and Charlotte both look to continue to drive that wedge between Sasha and Bayley for the inevitable feud of the decade.

-Braun Strowman cost Roman Reigns the title at Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns cost Braun the title on Raw. Both are very angry. They will settle their score at Fastlane but until then anything and everyone in their way is a target. In Portland Braun demolished Reigns like the ant he is. I warn you all every week, but if Strowman decides to hit the strip and play some blackjack I feel bad for that dealer that draws a 7-card 21 hand because he and everyone else in sin city will FEEL THE ROAR.

Elimination Chamber was great last night so Raw needs to respond. I look forward to the show! Do you?
