By Sean Radican & James Caldwell, PWTorch Staff

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The Kingdom is virtually no more in Ring of Honor. Matt Taven & Mike Bennett quickly dropped the ROH Tag Titles to War Machine in the semi-main event of “Final Battle” on Friday night, making it seem like there was something beneath the surface in-play.

Here’s what PWTorch has learned about the status of Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, and Maria Kanellis.

– Bennett & Maria’s ROH contracts are up. Both are set to leave Ring of Honor.

UPDATE: Bennett and Maria said their good-byes at Saturday’s post-Final Battle TV taping in Philadelphia. They were written off TV in an episode to air in 2016.

It was known on Friday that the duo are leaving for TNA. Their good-byes on Saturday confirmed their departure.

– Matt Taven’s contract is due in March 2016. It remains to be seen if Taven re-signs.

Also related to Taven, he suffered a knee injury at the beginning of the ROH Tag Title match against War Machine. Taven is not scheduled for the post-PPV TV tapings Saturday in Philadelphia.

  1. Great additions to TNA. Here’s hoping the upper-level management gets their act together for the new network. TNA gets more heat from the IWC that some of the best heels in the business.
