August 30 Update

Bobby Lashley has an opponent for his first MMA fight of 2016.

Lashley (14-2) is scheduled to fight Josh Appelt (12-5) in the co-main event of Bellator 162 on October 21 in Memphis.

This will be a Hvt. division fight, and Bellator is teasing a potential title shot for the winner. The Hvt. Title is currently vacated, opening the door for Lashley to ascend to a title fight if he continues his winning streak.

TNA Hvt. champion Bobby Lashley is signed for his first MMA fight of 2016.

Lashley, who has not fought since November 2015, is scheduled to fight again for Bellator MMA on October 21 in Memphis.

Lashley’s opponent has not been announced yet.

Lashley won his previous fight very decisively over James Thompson at Bellator 145 in a televised fight on Spike TV.

Lashley will be kicking off the month of October by defending the TNA Hvt. Title at the “Bound for Glory” PPV on October 2.
