WWE’s website released a batch of storyline interviews following the Fast Lane PPV on Sunday night.
– A.J. Styles addressed his series-clinching victory over Chris Jericho. As for Jericho’s claim on Smackdown that Styles would regret challenging him to a third match, Styles said his one regret is getting trapped in the Walls of Jericho during the match. Styles then stressed their post-match show of respect. He did not hint at what’s next for him after beating Jericho.
– IC champion Kevin Owens sold being upset after being found hiding backstage not wanting to be interviewed about beating Dolph Ziggler. Owens mockingly dedicated his victory to all of Dolph’s family, friends, and high school classmates who supported him beating Ziggler in his hometown. Owens got around to endorsing Ziggler as a great competitor. He ended up wearing interviewer Rich Brennan’s glasses trying to alleviate a post-match headache.
– U.S. champion Kalisto talked about fighting Lucha-style against Alberto Del Rio to keep the U.S. Title. Kalisto said he plans on holding the title for a “very long time.”
– Brie Bella talked about fighting for her family, win or lose, after challenging Charlotte for the Divas Title. Brie said she might not have left Fast Lane as Divas champion, but she left with “pride and dignity.” Brie said she thought she had the match won with the Yes! Lock and single-leg crab, but Ric Flair got in her head and “unfortunately did something to my leg.”
