WWE LIVE EVENT REPORT – SMACKDOWN
NOVEMBER 27, 2017
CHARLESTON, W.VA. AT THE CHARLESTON COLISUM
REPORT BY DUSTIN FULLER, PWTORCH VIP MEMBER

The upper two levels were not filled at all. The lower seats were 3/4 full and floor seats were full.

Lots of families, not a lot of bullet club merch surprisingly. JoJo ring announcer, nice set with mini titintron there was a camera man, and a guy with a phone taking pics and videos.

(1) Bobby Roode beat Dolph Ziggler in about 10:00. Entertaining match. Ziggler had serious heat, Roode was over.

(2) The Bludgeon Brothers & The Colons &  Mike Kanellis beat Ty Dillenger & The Ascension & Breezongo  in about 10:00 when Rowan pinned Ty. The Bludgeon Brothers were over more than anyone else. Breezango in second, then Ty.

(3) Baron Corbin beat Sin Cara and Shinsuke Nakamura in about 15:00 to retain the U.S. Title when Corbin pinned Sin Cara. Fun match, Corbin had a lot of heat, Nakamura was over, followed by Sin Cara.

(4) Randy Orton beat Rusev (w/Aiden English) in about 20:00. Aiden came singing to the ring to no reaction. Rusev came out to boos with a handful of people cheering and one “Rusev Day” sign. Randy Orton came to a loud pop of the night. Orton hung out around after to take pics with fans and sign autographs. He seemed happy.

(5) Charlotte & Naomi beat Nataya & Carmella & Lana (w/Tamina) in about 10:00 with Nataya tapping to Charlotte in a Figure-Eight. Charlotte was over. Lana had taken a little girl’s poster and ripped it up. Charlotte brought the girl into the ring after the match to nice applause.

(6) The Usso beat Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens and Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable and The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods w/Kofi Kingston) to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Titles in about 20:00 when an Uso pinned Gable. New Day got a big pop. Kofi was eating a sandwich on the way out. KO and Sami were no nonsense as well and booed out the building. The Usos got a big pop as well.

(7) A.J. Styles bat Jinder Mahal (w/The Singh Brothers) in about 30:00. Styles got a huge pop and chants and “Too Sweet!” Jinder had major heel heat. Styles made him look like a million bucks. Best match of the night. He sang “Country Road” at the end.

FINAL THOUGHTS: They did have two advertisements about Becky Lynch being in the woman’s tag, but she wasn’t there. They also advertised a triple threat for the U.S. Title with Orton, Rusev, and Styles, but obviously changed that. Great show. I wasn’t disappointed. My wife got me tickets for my birthday. We had third row tickets on what would be hard camera side. Great seats.

QUICK TIPS FOR SENDING RESULTS

If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to: pwtorch@pwtorch.com.

We accept reports in any format, but if it’s not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don’t just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don’t have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.

Also, please list tag teams using the “&” symbol as opposed to stating “and. ” Reserve use of ” and” when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. ” Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match” ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
