C.M. Punk will appear on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The company announced the news via social media on Tuesday afternoon. This is Punk’s first appearance on the show since defeating MJF in a bloody Dog Collar Match at the AEW Revolution PPV event on March 6.

C.M. Punk has been embroiled in a feud with MJF since before Thanksgiving in 2021. MJF defeated Punk on an episode of Dynamite on February 2. Punk earned an opportunity to face MJF again and pick the stipulation for that second match. Punk chose Revolution as the place and the collar match as the stipulation. Both he and MJF bled in the match and Punk got the victory after Wardlow turned on MJF.

After his victory at Revolution, Punk signaled for a championship belt as he celebrated leading to the belief that he will be targeting the AEW World Championship as his next move. Outside of the loss to MJF, he has been undefeated since joining AEW and has defeated Darby Allin, Lee Moriarty, Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, and others.

This week’s Dynamite will also feature The Varsity Blonds vs. Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley, Red Velvet vs. Leyla Hirsch, Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia vs. The Dark Order, and a major eight-man tag team match featuring Darby Allin & Sting & The Hardy’s vs. The Butcher & The Blade & Private Party.
