SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Night 1 of Ring of Honor’s “Glory by Honor” tour on Friday night served as a big springboard for the annual “Final Battle” PPV, which takes place Dec. 18 in Philadelphia.

Included was the announcement of Jay Lethal vs. A.J. Styles for the ROH World Title. It’s arguably the biggest singles match available to ROH, and should be a strong main event.

– ROH set up The Kingdom vs. War Machine as the next Tag Title feud, likely culminating at Final Battle.

– Michael Elgin and Moose asserted themselves as ROH Title contenders, potentially setting up a #1 contender match at Final Battle.

– The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) announced they are heading to New Japan, which is part of ROH and New Japan’s expanded talent exchange program getting new stars going back and forth.

– Friday’s TV taping also included a major title result. (Full SPOILER Report)
