Pro Wrestling Guerrilla kicked off 2016 with the first big U.S. show of the year from Reseda, California featuring Roderick Strong defending the PWG Title against Chris Hero.

The show started with a promo from authority figure Excalibur.

(1) Brian Cage beat Chris Dickinson with a Steiner screwdriver. Dickinson got over with the crowd and got a “Please come back” chant when he left the ring.

(2) Timothy Thatcher beat Drew Gulak via submission to the Kimura Lock. Good technical bout.

(3) Sami Callihan beat Trevor Lee via submission. Callihan won with a sit-out powerbomb and Stretch Muffler for the tap-out.

(4) Drew Galloway beat Jack Evans with the Future Shock DDT after Evans missed a 630 splash.

(5) Adam Cole beat “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Cole won with a Canadian Destroyer and Brainbuster over his knee.

(6) Zack Sabre, Jr. beat Akira Tozawa following a Dragon Suplex and Penalty Kick. Great match.

(7) PWG champion Roderick Strong beat Chris Hero after a pair of belt shots in heel form and the sick kick.

After the match, Sabre came out and challenged Strong to the PWG Title at a later date.
